The Phoenix Suns recently played a match against the Serbian team Partizan Belgrade, as part of the preseason opener of the Suns franchise. The match was part of the 2009 Euroleague American Tour, which brings European basketball teams to the United States to play against teams in the NBA. The Suns won the game despite missing Steve Nash, the Sun's leader and point guard, who was too ill to play. Goran Dragic scored the most points for the Suns (16). Jan Veselý was the scoring leader for the Serbian team, scoring the same amount as Dragic. The Partizan Belgrade team had turnover problems, losing possession thirty-six times in the course of the game.
